Dylan McDougall is a teenage author who enjoys writing about the darkened corners of the human mind; topics that twist into reality and spiral out of a fictional world; concocting stories of misery and disaster, and staining paper with his sadistic poetry. Now seventeen, he currently has one book published, entitled: "Skitzo: A Life-Changing Memoir", about a schizophrenic murder-spree of a troubled mentally-unstable man. As well as a published poem titled: "Overdosed On Thought"; which explains Dylan's life-controlling addiction to the mind-altering, and feel-good drug of...writing. As a side project, Dylan also enjoys drawing and creating visual art. Email: DylanMcDougall@ymail.com

A Portion of Distortion.

I’m a writer,
I twist stories in my head.
Ideas spark like a lighter,
Leaving the fire to spread.

I’ll take the loneliness of my mind,
And twirl it beyond eternity.
Folding the agony of time
Into a beautiful deformity.

I tie my memories to my actions,
My thoughts to my name.
I tie this noose of importance
Because it just doesn’t feel the same.
